Who We Are
Grace Nyaweda
Empowerment Foundation (GNEF) is a community-driven organization dedicated to
empowering vulnerable families through impactful programs in education, women’s
economic empowerment, water access, and compassionate community support.
Through mentorship,
strategic partnerships, and grassroots engagement, we create opportunities for
children to access education, support women in building sustainable
livelihoods, and strengthen families to thrive with dignity and resilience.
Our Story
Grace Nyaweda
Empowerment Foundation was inspired by the lifelong compassion and generosity
of its Founder and Patron, Grace Lorna Mori (Nyaweda). For many years, she
personally supported vulnerable children, women, and families in her community,
responding directly to urgent needs and opportunities for education and
empowerment.
As her impact grew,
those around her recognized the importance of sustaining this work. The
Foundation was established to carry forward her vision in a structured and
lasting way, ensuring that more lives could be reached and transformed.
Following her passing
in 2024, the Foundation continues to honor her legacy through programs rooted
in compassion, dignity, and community-driven impact.
