Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about applying, donating, volunteering, and how the Foundation is governed.

Applications

Visit the Apply page, select "Education & Skills Development," and either download the PDF application form to complete by hand or fill it out online. Completed forms are reviewed by the Scholarship Committee before going to the Board for approval.
Orphaned and/or vulnerable students with demonstrated financial need and excellent grades are eligible to apply.
Visit the Apply page and select "Women's Economic Empowerment." You'll need to describe your current or proposed business; applications are reviewed by the programme committee against agreed criteria before funds are disbursed and monitored.
Applications move through four stages — submission, initial review, program assessment, and final Board approval. Timing varies with the volume of applications received; you're welcome to check in with us via the Contact page.

Donations

Visit the Get Involved page and use the Donate section, or reach out directly via phone, WhatsApp, or email and our team will guide you through the options.
Funds are documented and directed to our programs — education, women's economic empowerment, clean water access, community service, and environmental stewardship — with follow-up monitoring to track progress and use of funds.
Please contact us directly at info@gracenyawedaempowerment.org for receipts and any documentation you need.

Volunteering

Head to the Apply or Get Involved page and select a program — Clean & Safe Water Access, Compassionate Community Service, or Environmental Stewardship all welcome volunteers. Submit your interest and our team will follow up.
Opportunities include community outreach visits, mentorship, tree planting and environmental initiatives, and support around water source protection.

Governance

A Board of Directors, led by our Chairlady, provides oversight over all programs and approves funding decisions. Visit the Governance page to meet the full Board.
GNEF operates under structured governance, documented application review processes, and Board oversight to ensure responsible stewardship of resources and fairness in all programs.
The full document is available to download from the Governance page, covering our Board structure, application frameworks, and transparency commitments.

Transparency

All applications, reviews, and decisions are documented and securely archived. Funding approvals are recorded and remain subject to Board oversight, and monitoring notes are maintained to support accountability and learning.
